Our Journey

1997

24MW Thermal Power Plant

Lakdhanavi Limited commenced its business as Sri Lanka’s first Independent Power Producer (IPP) by commissioning a 24 MW thermal power plant.

2002

Renewable Energy

Entered the renewable energy space by commissioning 2.5 MW grid connected mini hydro power plant in Belihul Oya, Sri Lanka.

2003

100 MW Thermal Power Plant

Lakdhanavi Limited, in partnership with Hemas Holdings PLC, secured a 100 MW thermal power project.
Commenced work on the 4 MW mini hydropower plant - Assupiniella.

2007

300MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Yugadanavi Power Plant

Commenced work on the largest combined cycle power plant in Sri Lanka.

2011

10 MW Wind Power Project

Commenced work on the 10 MW Pawandhanavi wind power plant in Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka

2014

52.2 MW HFO Power Plant

Raj Lanka Power Company Limited.

Commissioned the 52.2 MW HFO power plant (Raj Lanka) in Natore, Bangladesh - Subsidiary of Lakdhanavi Limited.

Lakdhanavi Bangla Power Limited.

Commissioned the 52.2 MW HFO power plant (Lakdhanavi Bangla) in Cumilla, Bangladesh - Subsidiary of Lakdhanavi Limited.

2017

10 MW Thermal Power Plant

Lakdhanavi Limited, acting as the EPC contractor for State Electric Company Limited (STELCO), Maldives under an ADB-financed project.

2019

114 MW Power Plant

Feni Lanka Power Limited.

Commissioned the 114MW HFO power plant (Feni Lanka) in Feni, Bangladesh - Subsidiary of Lakdhanavi Limited.

2021

350 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Commenced construction for a 350 MW combined cycle power plant (Sobadhanavi) - Expected to be Sri Lanka’s first LNG fired power plant.
